Sand Casting

What Is Sand Casting ?

Sand casting is a metal casting process where molten metal is poured into a sand mold cavity to create parts. A pattern, made of wood, metal, or plastic, is placed inside a flask and surrounded by sand. After compacting the sand around the pattern, molten metal is poured in, filling the cavity. Once cooled, the sand mold is broken away, revealing the metal casting.

Sand casting is widely used due to its versatility and cost-effectiveness, suitable for producing parts of various sizes and shapes in industries like automotive and aerospace.
